bourbon spiked apple cider donuts
the only thing better than a donut is a boozy one

Instructions
bring your cider (2 cups) and bourbon (½ cup) mixture to a boil and reduce to about 1 cup of total liquid
once cooled, mix with the rest of the wet ingredients and combine with your flour mixture
chill the dough for 1-2 hours
plop onto a VERY well floured surface, and cut out your donuts
fry each donut for 1-2 minutes on each side in oil at 350°F
toss them in cinnamon sugar (i added extra nutmeg and cardamom to the sugar)
i recommend enjoying these asap, but they stay good for 2-3 days stored in an airtight container
